# Own the Snake — public product guide

Own the Snake is a free multiplayer browser game at https://ownthesnake.com/.
Eat dots to grow, avoid other snakes and the arena edge, and reach #1 to take
the player crown. Rooms include human players and bots.

## Play and share

Steer with the mouse or drag on touch screens. Hold click, Space or BOOST to go
faster at the cost of size. A nickname is optional. Add a project or website
name to display it on your snake for free; no sponsor purchase is required.

Use Invite friend while playing to share a link to your room. Friends can
join while the room is available and has space. The game can be added to the
home screen on supported browsers; an internet connection is needed to play.

## Businesses

Every listed sponsor has a brand page, logo, pitch and website link. Confirmed
payments add to a cumulative total. The highest total holds the sponsor crown,
placing its brand on the leading snake in each room. Being overtaken moves a
brand down the board; its listing remains subject to the site's terms.

The category page shows the top three paid sponsors in each category. Sponsor
rank is not a product endorsement, review score or gameplay advantage.
Outbound brand links carry utm_source=ownthesnake.

## Public activity

Audience figures update automatically. Unique browsers are estimates of
visitors, not verified people. Foreground minutes measure observed browser
activity, not spending or purchases. Bots are excluded from audience counts
and labeled in recent game activity. No minimum traffic or sales is promised.
